Melodio is an AI song generator that turns a short text description into a fully produced song with original lyrics, real-sounding vocals, and professional instrumentation. You describe a mood, story, genre, or paste your own lyrics, and the AI returns a complete studio-quality track in about 3 minutes. Melodio is operated by Melody Box Limited (England and Wales) and is available worldwide at melodio.co. Generation is free, and a 1-minute preview is free for every track. To unlock the full song and editing tools you spend 10 credits, which come with any subscription plan.

Most songs are generated in about 3 minutes from prompt to finished preview. You enter a description in Simple mode (for example, "upbeat indie pop about a summer road trip") or paste full lyrics, style, and title in Custom mode. Melodio's next-generation AI model composes the music, writes the lyrics if you did not provide them, performs the vocals, and mixes the track. While it works you can keep browsing — the song lands in My Songs when ready, and you receive a 1-minute free preview to decide if you want to unlock and download the full version.

Yes. Song generation on Melodio is completely free and does not require a credit card. You can create unlimited tracks and listen to a 1-minute preview of every song at no cost. Unlocking the full-length track, downloading it, and using editing tools (Cover, Extend, Mashup, Replace Section, Persona, Video) requires credits. Credits come with any subscription, starting at $9.99 per month for the Mini plan. If you only want a one-off song, the lowest plan still works — there is no minimum commitment beyond a single billing cycle, and you can cancel anytime.

Melodio offers three subscription tiers: Mini at $9.99 per month, Plus, and Legend, each adding more monthly credits. An optional Premium add-on unlocks advanced editing features (Extend, Mashup, Video, Replace Section, Persona). Unlocking a song costs 10 credits, Cover costs 6 credits, and most Premium edits cost 4–12 credits each. Plan credits refresh every billing cycle. Premium credits and top-up credits roll over until you use them. Payments are processed by Stripe with secure card and Apple/Google Pay support. You can cancel anytime; all purchases are final.

Yes. Once you unlock a song with credits, it is yours — you can download it as a high-quality audio file and use it however you like, including personal projects, social content, podcasts, YouTube videos, and commercial work. Unlocked songs are not watermarked. Melodio does not claim ownership of the output: under our Terms, the user retains rights to the unlocked tracks generated from their prompts. Melodio supports 40+ languages including English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Polish, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Arabic, Hindi, Hebrew, Swahili, Ukrainian, and more, with native-sounding vocals in each. Genres are open-ended: you can describe any style — pop, rock, hip-hop, electronic, indie, R&B, country, lofi, classical, folk, metal, jazz, reggae, K-pop, Latin — and the AI will compose accordingly. You can also reference artists or eras as styling cues. For best results, mention the genre, mood, tempo (slow/upbeat), and one or two specific instruments or vocal styles you want emphasised in the track.

Plan credits refresh at the start of each billing cycle and do not roll over to the next month — use them while your subscription is active. Premium add-on credits and any one-off top-up credits you buy do carry over and remain on your account until you spend them, even across plan changes. If you cancel a plan, the credits already used remain unaffected; unused plan credits expire at the end of the current cycle.
